Startup funding is booming in Indonesia. Investors are making big bets and providing startups with fast cash, ranging across various tech-based sectors. Two startups in diverse spaces, Arsanesia and Kofera, have recently managed to secure funding.\r\nGaming Startup Arsanesia Raises Funding From DNC\r\nIndonesia-based gaming startup Arsanesia has secured an undisclosed amount of funding from Discovery Nusantara Capital (DNC).\r\n\r\nDNC is an Indonesian VC firm that focusses on gaming startups operating in the Southeast Asian industry.\r\n\r\nArsanesia plans to use the freshly raised funds to strengthen its gaming line Arsa Kids, that develops educational games for children, ranging aged two to 12 years, as per a report by e27.\r\n\r\nAn official statement from Arsanesia said, \u201cDNC\u2019s network and experience will help Arsa Kids in developing products for the global market. The digital native market [segment] continues to grow and a high demand for quality educational content has led to the fast growth of Arsa Kids. The presence of DNC will help Arsa Kids secure greater portions in the educational segment.\u201d\r\n\r\nArsanesia was founded in 2011 by Adam Ardisasmita. It works predominantly in the mobile gaming sector. Its most famous games include Arsa Kids and Roly Poly Penguin.\r\nSaaS Platform Kofera Secures Pre Series A Funding\r\nOn the other hand, \u00a0SaaS-driven digital marketing automation platform Kofera has raised an undisclosed amount in Pre-Series A funding, in a round led by MDI Ventures. MDI Ventures is the investment arm of Indonesia\u2019s telecom company, Telkom.\r\n\r\nThe round also saw participation from Indosterling Capital, Discovery Nusantara Capital, and Gunung Sewu.\r\n\r\nKofera will deploy the raised funds towards product development and customer acquisition, stated a TechinAsia report.\r\n\r\nThe startup was founded in 2015 by Bachtiar Rifai, Gayuh Tri Satria, Ryan Haryadi, and Ferry Ardhana Wahyu Hutama. Kofera is a platform that allows advertisers to run customised ad campaigns. The platform uses big data analytics, machine learning, and AI to make digital marketing campaigns more effective.\r\n\r\nThe startup monetises itself by charging a subscription fee from its clients that varies as per the size and range of the targeted campaign. As per the above mentioned report, ecommerce companies like Blanja, Berrybenka, Tokopedia, Bhinneka, Luxola, Sejasa, and aCommerce are some of Kofera\u2019s clients.\r\n\r\nOther Indonesia startups that have recently raised funding include PrivyID, Infonesia, and Amartha etc.
