Girnar Software that owns auto portals like CarDekho.com, Gaadi.com, BikeDekho.com, TyreDekho.com, and Zigwheels.com has received investment  from Google Capital, along with participation from existing investor Hillhouse Capital.

Amit Jain, co-founder and CEO of Girnar Software said, “Google Capital is one of most respected growth equity investors in the world, and brings to us the resources and expertise from the one of the most valuable technology companies on the planet. Having them on our shareholder roster encourages us to keep raising the standard of our tech offerings as we create the premier automotive digital destination for the emerging markets.”

Google Capital has joined the league of Times Internet, Sequoia Capital, Hillhouse, Tybourne, Ratan Tata, and HDFC Bank as an investor in the company.

With the new round of funding, Girnar plans to further bolster its technology, R&D and expansion within and outside India. The company had launched its services in Malaysia, Thailand, Vietnam, Philippines, and Indonesia, with the launch of CarBay.com. It plans to consolidate its presence in emerging economies in Asia and the Middle East, apart from India.

Prior to this, in 2015, Girnar had received funding from Times Internet. Also, in September 2015, CarDekho had acquired Times Internet owned auto portal Zigwheels.
