Entrepreneur-turned angel investor, Ajeet Khurana, has quit IIT Bombay’s Incubator SINE to set-up his own venture that would target solving various problems faced by entrepreneurs and investors alike. Ajeet had join SINE last year as the CEO.

App To Lodge Complaints in Indian Railways
Minister of Railways, Suresh Prabhu launched a Web portal and mobile application for passengers to lodge complaints against problems faced in utilising Indian Railways services. Passengers can lodge the complaints using the Website and App which is available on Android and Windows platforms. The most interesting thing about the app is that one doesn’t need to sign up for using it, just download the app and lodge the complaint.
Indian Govt Launches Upgraded Version Of Mygov.In
After months of intense work, the government has launched a newer version of crowdsourcing platform Mygov.in with features such as hashtags, polls, interactive discussion forums and social media account integration. The new, sleeker version will make extensive use of analytics and data mining tools. It is easier to navigate and shows real time data about registered users, task submissions and number of comments across different discussion themes on the landing page.
Mobikwik Partners With Café Coffee Day, Spread Its Wings In Offline Market
MobiKwik, India’s leading Mobile Wallet has partnered with Café Coffee Day (CCD) to enable its customers make payments through the MobiKwik wallet across all its outlets in India. For CCD it means enabling access for 15 million MobiKwik users, most of them youth, who prefer to use their mobile wallet for making all kinds of purchases.
MySmartPrice forays into offline price comparison service
MySmartPrice, product discovery and online price comparison shopping platform has launched an offline price comparison service for mobile stores. Initially introduced for customers in Hyderabad, the visitors at MySmartPrice can enjoy the added advantage of comparing the prices of mobile phones from local stores around them. The startup has tied up with over 300 offline mobile stores in Hyderabad and Secunderabad including Sangeetha Mobiles, The Mobile Store, Big C, Yes Mart, RSG etc. Consumers can search and compare prices, discounts and deals being offered on mobile phone models by all the offline retailers listed on their site. At present, the service is targeted towards shoppers in Hyderabad and will soon expand to top Indian cities gradually.
Teewe Launches Plug-In Feature For Chrome
Mango Man Consumer Electronics has added a new plug-in feature to its Video Streaming Dongle, Teewe. The feature designed specifically for the Chrome Web Browser allows users to stream video content directly from the browser onto their TV screens. Existing and prospective users of Teewe need to install the Teewe plug-in on the Chrome browser and install the Teewe Web App.
IRCTC Ties Up With Amazon To Capture Indian Ecommerce Market
IRCTC has tied up with Amazon.in to foray into ecommerce to run the co-branded ecommerce marketplace. With this deal, the customers can now be accorded seamless online shopping opportunities in addition to booking travel tickets and hotel accommodations. The partnership follows in the backdrop of the ecommerce portal it had launched with fashion etailer Yebhi in 2013.
