With India continuing to be the focus of major global players, there have been several new additions to the teams working in India.

In one such move, social media giant Facebook is scouting for India Head and Spencer Stuart, global executive search and leadership consulting firm, has considered or shortlisted executives like Star India MD Sanjay Gupta, Viacom18 group CEO Sudhanshu Vats, Tata Sky MD Harit Nagpal, and Hotstar CEO Ajit Mohan, among others for the position.

Also, Chinese-bicycle startup Mobike appointed Vibhor Jain as Chief Executive Officer (CEO) and Sujith Nair as Chief Business Officer (CBO) for its Indian business.

Vineet Sethi Joins NiYo As Chief Marketing Officer

NiYo solutions has onboarded Vineet Sethi as its chief marketing officer.

Vineet comes with nearly 15 years of experience in banking sector in the sales role for ICICI Bank and Standard Chartered Bank. He also runs his own startup, The Bag Talk- an e-commerce platform for bags.

At NiYo, he will work towards driving NiYO’s effort to establish the brand as a major player in the payroll and benefits sector.  He would also be mandated to take the NiYO products to the unorganised workforce and include them within the traditional banking system.

Anubha Verma Joins As Chief Technology Officer At Rentsher

Bengaluru-based rental marketplace Rentsher has appointed Anubha Verma as its Chief Technology Officer for its global operations.

With nearly 10 years of experience, Anubha has worked with Google four and a half years on various critical projects in Google Cloud Platform as a Senior Software Engineer.  She has also worked with IBM Research, VMware etc.

At Rentsher, Anubha will be a critical contributor to Rentsher’s expansion, as the company plans to develop a more seamless and mobile-friendly platform with a view to enhancing its user-friendliness.

She will be addressing core tech issues, eliminating bottlenecks, and driving the development of a more user-friendly digital interface. She will leverage her experience and expertise in driving the development of cutting-edge and innovative technology solutions to helm Rentsher’s platform in new directions.

In the short-term, she intends to add more payment channels to the platform and make it more mobile-friendly. In the longer term, Anubha will look to create the foundation for a technology-enabled ecosystem that provides greater functionality and convenience to vendors and customers alike.

Haptik Appoints Kartik Poddar As Business Head For Enterprise Vertical

Conversation AI platform Haptik has appointed Kartik Poddar as the Business Head of its Enterprise vertical.

With more than a decade of experience in the fields of product management and marketing, Kartik has previously worked with leading technology businesses such as Komli Media and Microsoft.

At Microsoft, Kartik was a part of the product team of Bing, Microsoft’s search product. Prior to joining Haptik, he was the Co-founder and CEO of Fropcorn, a hyper-local content distribution venture where he spearheaded the product, fundraising, and business development efforts for the company. He is also a member of Kaamedy Inc., an improv comedy troupe of white-collar executives which performs regularly at corporate events and leading performance venues across India.

At Haptik, Kartik shall lead the GTM and revenue generation efforts of Haptik’s Enterprise Business. He will work closely with customers across India and US to drive the adoption of Haptik’s advanced conversational AI platform amongst enterprises.

Anubrata Biswas Joins Airtel Payments Bank As MD and CEO

Airtel Payments Bank has appointed Anubrata Biswas as its Managing Director and CEO.

With an experience of nearly 17 years, Anubrata has worked as the Joint General Manager and Retail Business Head – South India for ICICI Bank and was responsible for managing the retail banking business across over 550 branches of the bank.

As MD and CEO of Airtel Payments Bank, he will be responsible for driving Airtel Payments Bank’s mission of taking convenient and innovative digital banking services to the doorstep of every Indian.

Intellecap Advisory Elevates Vikas Bali As CEO

Mumbai-based advisory firm, Intellecap announced the appointment of Vikas Bali as the new Chief Executive Officer for the organisation.

Vikas comes with more than two decades of experience in strong people management and team leadership skills. He was earlier holding the role of Managing Director leading the Global Consulting and Research business at Intellecap.

He has also worked as Managing Director with Accenture Strategy leading the Products vertical, including Automotive, Consumer Goods, Life Sciences and Retail businesses industries. He worked with Tata Sky, DEN Networks, AT Kearney and Andersen consulting.

As CEO, he would set the strategic direction of the company across businesses and geographies.
