Google for Startups India has chosen 20 startups out of the 700 applications for the sixth cohort of its Google for Startups Accelerator (GFSA) program, according to an announcement made by the company. 

35% of the selected startups are women-led and the cohort comprises a mix of B2B and B2C startups between their seed and Series A stages. It has startups from sectors including education, healthcare, finance, media and retail. They are set to join GFSA’s Indian portfolio of 96 startups. 

The GFSA program generally focuses on supporting startups that use advanced technology such as AI and machine learning, or big data analytics for solving problems in healthcare, education, finance, media and entertainment, gaming, enterprise and other sectors.

Startups selected for the three months equity-free accelerator program will receive mentorship and support around AI/ML, cloud technologies, UX, android development, web development, product strategy and growth. 

Founders who are part of the program can outline the top challenges faced by their startups, and they will be paired with relevant experts from Google and the rest of the industry.

The startups selected for the sixth cohort of Google for Startup Accelerator are as follows:

  1. Able: Skilling platform for private jobs
  2. Alippo: Upskilling platform for women to learn baking, cooking, makeup, stitching and set up their home businesses
  3. ApnaKlub: Agent-led B2B wholesale platform for fast-moving consumer goods (FMCG)
  4. Avishkaar: Global platform to help young innovators between the ages of five and fifteen learn next-generation technology skills such as Robotics, AI, Electronics, IoT and coding
  5. BrainSightAI: Building a multi-modal imaging platform for the brain
  6. Call AI (formerly Humonics): Autonomous Cloud Contact Center—Any call landing in and out of its contact centre is managed by ‘digital agents’ without the need for human intervention
  7. Entri: Regional-language learning app to learn job-related soft skills and prepare for competitive exams that lead to jobs
  8. Evergreen Club: Online community platform offering digital engagement, wellness and learning for older adults
  9. GimBooks: Mobile-first bookkeeping, banking and lending platform for MSMEs
  10. Impact App: Fitness app that ‘converts the steps you made into charity’.
  11. Infilect: Visual intelligence platform for global CPG Retail
  12. Language Curry: Language learning app that leverages localsied colloquial skill-based content
  13. Lavelle Networks: Software Defined Networking (SDN) startup 
  14. MetaDome (formerly Adloid): Metaverse platform that will provide no-code infrastructure creators and brands for building immersive experiences for the virtual world
  15. Phable Care: Chronic disease management startup
  16. Remedo: Shopify for Doctors —Remedo helps doctors generate and service demand on their own brand in an online world
  17. Rupifi: B2B transaction platform for SMEs
  18. STAGE: Dialect based OTT platform
  19. Toch AI: Cloud-agnostic platform that uses AI and ML-powered technology to create new assets from video content in real-time
  20. Vahak: India’s fastest growing online marketplace and community for the Indian logistics industry
