Mashable, an online portal focused on technology, entertainment and business news, has launched its local edition in India in partnership with, a joint venture between Penske Media Corp. and Zee Entertainment Enterprises Ltd.

Mashable IndiaThis new online destination will bring together Mashable’s mission of inspiring, informing and entertaining its global community about how digital and technology are changing the world partnering with’s strength in generating original content for Indian audiences and widespread reach in the Indian digital space.

Mashable India will have a dedicated editorial team based out of Mumbai and New Delhi for localised content. The URL of the India edition remains the same, as the site will showcase India-specific stories to users from this region.

The company in India plans to offer global coverage from and augment it with extensive editorial coverage from the country.
