Chennai and San-Francisco-based Freshdesk, a cloud-based customer support software startup, has acquired Pune-based Framebench, an online collaboration platform that enables teams to share, review and comment on videos, images, presentations and documents, for an undisclosed amount.

With this development, Framebench’s complete team will be joining Freshdesk.

Freshdesk’s clients can now use Framebench’s communication and feedback tools to seamlessly interact with their product teams as well as customers.

Blume Ventures-backed Framebench was launched in 2013 by Rohit Agarwal and Vineet Markan. Framebench is an online collaboration platform that helps users to share, review and discuss files. It provides the easiest way for teams to annotate and collaborate on images, documents & videos and review them online. Teams can suggest edits and approve files in a single place which substantially reduces their time to market.

Last year, the company’s tools were used by a Republican Party committee in the US to create campaign posters, advertisements and slogans for an election.

This is the fourth acquisition of Freshdesk. Prior to this, it has acquired:

Freshdesk was founded in 2010. It competes with other enterprise companies including Salesforce, Zendesk, Atlassian, and others. It counts Accel Partners, Tiger Global Management, and Google Capital as its investors. It has more than 50K customers, of which 25K customers were added in the last 12 months.
