Freshdesk Crosses 50,000 Customers; Acquires Video Chat & Co-Browsing Startup

Freshdesk, a SaaS customer support software, has acquired live video chat and co-browsing platform The acquisition will help Freshdesk deepen its real-time chat support capabilities. 1CLICK team will be joining Freshdesk.

Bangalore-based 1CLICK was founded in 2012 by Hrishikesh Kulkarni, it is a cloud-based pluggable video infrastructure company. It offers an easy to use plugin for browser and mobile platform to embed face to face conversations in business workflows.

Freshdesk’s cloud-based customer support software enables companies of all sizes to support customers through email, phone calls, websites, forums and social media channels. The acquisition will help Freshdesk in expanding its product’s functionality and allow customers to provide real-time support through video chat, voice chat and co-browsing.

With this, gradually, support agents will be able to view the customer’s screen and interact with it in real-time, on a web page, while chatting with the customer through video/live chat.

With this acquisition Freshdesk has also announced that it has 50,000 customers. The company in its blogpost said that it has added 25,000 customers in last 12 months.

Freshdesk was founded in 2010 and currently has a team of 500+ people across four offices  – San Francisco, London, Sydney and Chennai.

Earlier this year in April, FreshDesk had raised $50 Mn in Series E round of funding led by Tiger Global, Accel Partners and Google Capital.
