Earlier this month, the group announced its entry in the ecommerce space via CliQ, under its new vertical Tata Unistore. Tata CLiQ, will be opened to consumers on Friday, May 27, 2016, across its website, mobile site and mobile apps (Android and iOS).

Genesis Luxury brings to India the iconic brands like Paul Smith, Bottega Veneta, Jimmy Choo, Armani, Crabtree and Evelyn, Furla, Tumi, Michael Kors, etc. Genesis Group also entered into a joint venture with Burberry of UK to form Burberry India; with Italian Luxury label Canali to form Canali India and with Villeroy & Boch to form V&B Lifestyle India.

Ashutosh Pandey, CEO of CliQ said, “Together, Genesis and TataCLiQ.Com are also targeting a number of luxury brands that are not present in India or a part of Genesis’ portfolio. These will be launched over a period of time on TataCLiQ.Com.”

The partnership will make TataCLiQ.com the only authorised partner to offer several international luxury brands in India that the Genesis Group represents.

Tata Group currently operates in the offline retail segment with brands like Westside, Landmark and jewellery brand outlet Tanishq and electronics retail outlet Croma.  Also, it runs ecommerce portal for its Croma consumer electronics chain and Landmark bookstores.
