Ambush Marketing has become the new trend of the startup town. Following the Snapdeal’s response to Flipkart’s #AchhaKiya campaign, Amazon jumped into the fight and took over the show.

The fight started with Flipkart launching #Achhakiya campaign, following which Snapdeal trolled it with the #Batadia campaign.

Well apart from these three biggies few other startups also tried their best to sip out of the existing momentum, IndianRoots’s ad read:

“Ladai Nahi. Shopping Karo. #DesignerKapdeLo.”

And the witty marketers of PaisaBazaar, saw the opportunity and pulled out – “Khareedne Ke Liye #PaisaChahiye.” campaign.

Once the money got involved, can savings be far behind? There comes CouponDunia – “Kahin se bhi khareedo” #Bachaoidharse

Marketing wizards at Amazon had also trolled Zomato’s frequent logo changes to promote Amazon’s  #AurDikhao campaign.  Startup ecosystem has seen many more instances of ambush marketing. Latest being the Zostel and OYO Rooms, preceded by Commonfloor and Housing.
