Chinese ecommerce giant Alibaba has launched its Global Ecommerce Talents (GET) programme in India.

Commenting on the development, K Guru Gowrappan, Global Managing Director and Head of India, Alibaba Group said, “We are delighted to introduce this unique programme in India where the ecommerce industry holds enormous potential for expansion.”

The first batch of GET in India will be partnered by the Centre of Ecommerce Excellence, Indian Institute of Ecommerce, First EduIndia Limited, and Unified Growth Foundation.

In its first phase of execution, the programme will be available for the students of Narsee Monjee Institute of Management Studies (NMIMS) and Kalinga University.
