“Alone we can do so little; together we can do so much.” – Helen Keller

Yes, in togetherness… there is a great power. In togetherness, we find a confluence of our energy, a commonality of envisioning and this and only this will create the synergy for development.

Putting it in verbatim, in the words of PM Narendra Modi’s dictum of good governance, working together is shifting ‘Ease of doing business’ to Ease of livelihood’.

Needless to say, confluence and synergy is the key to creating more and developing more. In the startup ecosystem, confluence and the presence of a single window as the singularity point of all the information are much required.

In India, where the wave of startups is currently vibrant, this singularity of information is all the more important. As a result, various conferences, seminars and meetups are organised to create that singularity which the industry can optimise upon.

We bring to you the latest edition of the startup events to attend this week.

Confluence 2018

Anchored around Youth and Innovation, the theme for Confluence 2018 is “Cities on the Horizon”.

Cities are the drivers of global economies. Urbanisation in emerging markets has been the dominant force of global growth in the recent decade. Given the speed with which cities in emerging economies are growing, there is an entire generation of global cities, waiting to be realised.

‘Cities On the Horizon’, aims to present and acknowledge the myriad layers that make up for a city and celebrate the city as a living, breathing collective – much more than a blueprint of grids and plans.

This year the Confluence 2018 aims at bringing together a never-before collective of diverse fresh perspectives and urban innovations and would include the participation of students, startups and experts from urban development, government, citizen forums, academicians, and business leaders.

Confluence is the thought leadership platform of Mahindra World City in partnership with McKinsey India as a knowledge partner.
