Flipkart, India’s first billion dollar company in Ecommerce, has decided to revamp its technology infrastructure by investing $10 Mn. The company will buy new servers from Dell to build a private cloud and to scale up its infrastructure. It is being assumed that the need to improve current IT infrastructure urged due to the setback of Flipkart’s Big Billion Day sale. The company has therefore decided to work towards building a robust private cloud by working with Dell.

Airtel Inks $200 Mn Deal With Nokia Networks To Build 4G Network Across 6 Cities

In a bid to develop a pan-India 4G footprint, telecom operator Bharti Airtel has inked a deal of $200 Mn with mobile technology arm of Nokia Corp, Nokia Networks to build the country’s first 4G network in the 1800 MHz band in six cities including Mumbai, MP, West Bengal, Odisha, Punjab and Kerala. The FDD-LTE technology will be used for Airtel’s 4G network in the 1800 MHz band.

InMobi Ready To Foray Into Online Advertising Space With New Analytics Service

Bangalore-based mobile advertising platform, InMobi is going to launch new analytics service model, which will combine data from clients with insights on consumer behaviour that it has gathered and create new marketing strategies for enterprises. With the help of this new analytics service, the company will run marketing campaigns through email and other channels. This move will make InMobi a direct competitor of global online advertising giants such as Google, Acxiom and Harte Hanks.

PayUMoney Inks Deal With Ratnakar Bank To Provide Virtual Wallet To Consumers

PayUMoney, PayU India’s online payment solution brand is soon going to launch a semi-closed co-branded virtual wallet in association with Ratnakar Bank. The co-branded wallet will be issued by RBL Bank. The wallet will be available exclusively to PayUMoney consumers in India. With the help of this PayUMoney option, a customer can simply choose to pay on an ecommerce website and create a wallet account on the fly while paying on the website and can continue paying through usual payment modes like Credit Card, Debit Card and Netbanking.
