This week was filled with series of investments into diverse sectors. Loads of companies managed to raise the much needed money needed for acceleration and motivation to keep working on their ideas by engaging themselves completely into it.

Have a look at the startups that raised funding:

Olacabs Bangalore based taxi aggregator service, Olacabs raised Rs.250 Cr in a new funding round, taking its valuation at Rs.1000 Cr. It will be using the money raised in this round for expanding in new cities, categories and to strengthen the cab aggregators driver ecosystem.

WizRocket – The Startup has raised undisclosed amount of funding led by Accel Partners. It is a user behavior analysis & targeting platform.

Reviews42 – It has raised $5 Mn from Tiger Global & its existing investors.  It provides comparisons of products and their prices from offline and online stores to its users. The startup is now rebranding itself to Zopper.com. It plans to invest the funds raised in this round in product development, team expansion and for expanding in other cities including Bangalore, Hyderabad, Chennai and Mumbai.

Pokkt It has raised $2.5Mn in a Series A round of funding from Singapore-based VC firms Jafco Asia and SingTel Innov8, it is an alternative monetisation platform for app developers and publishers.

Grabhouse – It raised $500K in funding from India Quotient. It is essentially a brokerage free site that helps people find compatible roommates and rented accommodations. The capital will be used to market the portal using search engine marketing (SEM) in order to enable more listings on the platform and also attract more home seekers.
