Taking ahead its acquisition spree to expand its product portfolio, Delhi-based cloud-based communications solutions provider Knowlarity has completed its 2-step acquisition of Sunoray after absorbing its end-to-end cloud-SaaS customer relationship management arm Tentacle.

Post-integration, Knowlarity plans to use its vast network to take Tentacle to the next level of sales and product development.

Founded in 2009, Knowlarity provides cloud-based communication solutions to businesses. Amongst its 15K clients, some of the key customers include Google, Amazon, Uber, Practo, Ola, Zomato, Swiggy, Gaadi among others.

Ambarish Gupta, Founder and CEO, Knowlarity said, “Tentacle is an innovative product with a robust product roadmap that leverages AI and Machine Learning to maximize sales for its customers. Sunoray has a wide customer base across verticals and we plan on leveraging our expansive presence combined with Sunoray’s extensive domain-specific expertise to grow rapidly in the next 3 years.”

In May, Knowlarity acquired Sunoray, a Cloud-SaaS firm founded by Rahul Arora and Sumontro Roy in 2014, which offers SMBs and Enterprise customers the latest cloud-tech products via an online subscription model.

The company has built a diversified product portfolio to help its clients manage their customers across their lifespan and to significantly improve Customer LTV (Lifetime Value).

Its product Tentacle is cloud and app-based and eliminates the need to purchase any hardware or software. It replaces manual tracking by SMEs that by inherent nature is extremely inefficient.

The app helps enterprises manage larger field-force teams and real-time reports via an easily manoeuvred dashboard give firms immediate information and actionable insights.

Tentacle is integrated with several lead generation platforms and CRMs like Salesforce, JustDial and Sulekha.

“Given that the demand for Cloud-SaaS products and solutions is at an inflexion point, we expect explosive growth over the next 3 years”, said Sumontro Roy, co-founder, Sunoray.

Knowlarity has earlier acquired Smartwards (May 2016) and Unicom Techlabs Pvt. Ltd (2014).

Till date, the company has raised $42.5 Mn from investors like Sequoia Capital and Mayfield.

The cloud-based customer contact market is slated to reach $14.71 Bn by 2020, and Knowlarity has been targeting to expand its presence across newer markets in tier-2 and 3 Indian cities.

Competition is rife in the cloud customer engagement space with companies such as SAP, Ameyo, Core, Genesys, Interactive Intelligence vying for a share of the billion dollar pie.
