StartupDash Winner, AdPushup, Raises $632K For Its Ad Revenue Optimization Platform

Ad revenue optimization platform, AdPushup has raised $632k in angel funding round led by about 50 investors on the online funding platform LetsVenture.

A few investors who participated in the round include, Kima Ventures, Paras Chopra (Founder, Wingify/VWO), Amit Ranjan (Co-founder, SlideShare), Jonathan Boutelle (Director – Technology, LinkedIN), Sachin Arora (Principal Data Engineer and Architect, Yahoo!), Avlesh Singh (WebEngage), Sameer Parwani (Founder, CouponDunia, India’s most popular Coupon Code Website), Zishaan Hayath (Powai Lake Ventures), Sunil Kalra (Active angel investor – India) among others.

AdPushup optimizes ads allowing publishers & bloggers to make more money from their existing website traffic without the need for any coding skills. It helps websites to overcome banner blindness and monetize impressions lost to ad blocking software.

It works on similar lines as other A/B testing companies like Wingify and Optimizely. AdPushup uses advanced A/B Testing to compare between different ad variations like different placements. Different ad sizes can be tested with separately defined placements for mobile traffic. The ad optimization platform also lets you use custom AdSense ad sizes and test on multiple websites. After finding the best variation, it keeps a check on banner blindness to keep your placements optimized at all times and can help fight AdBlock.

“Most of it would into building a kick-ass technology team and we’ll start building a base in the US,” said Ankit Oberoi, co-founder, AdPushup.

AdPushup was founded in May 2013 by Ankit Oberoi and Atul Agarwal. Ankit started up Tamranda back in 2004 before getting together with Atul in 2007 to start Innobuzz Solutions, a knowledge solution providing company.

AdPushup launched its first free beta release in March 2014 and has served over500,000 ad impressions in its first month itself. It further rose to 3 million and then 10 million in the subsequent months with a high retention rate. 85% of participating websites have seen a positive rise in revenues with an average 68 percent rise in RPM(eCPM), as told by Ankit in a previous communication with Inc42.
