What we see missing right now though is probably some inventory of mens cosmetics which can be a good add on to the store if they want to be the ultimate shopping destination for men. COD will also be an added bonus considering a majority of Indians are still paranoid about net banking or handing out their credit card info.
Menzkart identified a target audience which otherwise was neglected in the online shopping-arena and explored the untapped market of Men’s hygiene and personal care. Having understood the fact that women shop by “sight” and men with prior knowledge, this site aims at keeping stuff simple, easy and fast with offers and discounts.
We have been seeing lots of niche e-commerce stores coming up, which is a major advantage from the consumer point of view. They can simply log onto their favorite men’s store or book store and not be distracted by other products they aren’t interested in. But again many prefer all in one sites like Flipkart and Jabong but will probably find a limited choice if they are looking for a particular product.
It’s a win-win for consumers but on the other hand competition amongst e-commerce sites just keeps getting fiercer. The cost of acquisition per customer keeps increasing with each store that comes up and retaining them even harder. With big boys like Flipkart and Myntra making losses and burning out VC money, lets see whats in store for all the e-commerce sites. Innovation & exclusivity is the only way to go in this vertical.
