Telangana’s capital Hyderabad has emerged as one of India’s most significant startup ecosystems. Known for its vibrant technology sector, the city offers a conducive environment for startups across various industries, including IT, healthcare and ecommerce.

The most notable among these is HITEC City, which spans 200 acres and serves as a central location for numerous startups. Other important areas include Jubilee Hills and Gachibowli, which are known for their modern infrastructure and accessibility to talent and resources.

According to the Inc42 Funding Report 2024, Hyderabad ranks first on the podium of top emerging hubs, with $3 Bn+ raised between 2014 and 2024 across more than 384 deals. Pune, Chennai, Ahmedabad and Jaipur trail just behind Hyderabad, together making to the top five emerging startup hubs in India

Hyderabad is also home to several incubators, accelerators and venture capital (VC) firms. Among these are T-Angel, T-Hub, We-Hub, DLabs (by Indian School of Business), IIT-Hyderabad Foundation, and prominent investors like Hyderabad Angels, Anthill Ventures, Endiya Partners, SucSEED, Splice Capital among others.

Its diversified talent pool is further supplemented by premier institutions such as IIT-Hyderabad, IIIT-H (International Institute of Information Technology) and ISB provides a rich.

It is also renowned for its superior infrastructure (which some consider to be better than Bengaluru), affordable real estate and competitive cost of living.

The city’s reputation as a tech hub has been further boosted by the presence of global tech giants like Google and Amazon.
