Zoomcar, a self drive car rental company, is going to launch door-step pickup and drop of rented cars by the end of 2015. This implies one of the Zoomcar executive will drop the car at the customers’ choice of location, be it office, home or any other place and pick it up once they return from the drive.

The new initiative will not just enhance customer convenience and experience but will also benefit users from a security standpoint.

Its services are presently spread across Bangalore, Pune, Delhi NCR, Mumbai, Chennai and Hyderabad. Its vehicle catalogue offers a wide and extensive count of 1500 cars, ranging from hatchbacks to SUVs to luxury sedans.

While the company plans to expand its fleet of cars to over 1000 across 250 locations in the city, it recently added high-end cars such as Toyota Fortuner and Mercedes to its fleet. In addition to it, company also plans to launch their service at the Mumbai airport and has also designed a special package – ZoomCommute for corporates and office goers to rent cars for weekly use.

Last week, Zoomcar had raised $11 M from Sequoia, Empire Angels and NGP.
