Fashion app WithMe has raised $250K funding from angel investors including Alex Kuruvilla (MD, CondeNast), Pradeep Guha (former head, Zee Group and TOI) and Saket Dhankar (Head of Lakme Fashion Week).

Mumbai-based WithMe is a platform built around fashion inspiration and ideas that help its users decide on what to buy or wear. Users’ social community and bunch of fashion experts answer their style queries in real time.

WithMe was founded by Ashutosh Pandey, Nithin Kaimal, Amit Gupta and Shishir Maheshwari and commenced full-fledged operations in August 2015.

The newly raised capital will be used to build cutting-edge features on the app, specifically making the app more ‘intelligent’ so users have a highly personalised high-end fashion experience.

The team aims to build an app that becomes users’ handy guide for all style and fashion discoveries, discussions and decisions.

The app also provides services like giving fashion inspiration, feedback and ideas from experts in the field. The platform is aiming to engage a million users by the end of this year.

Prior to this, in February 2016, Delhi-based startup Styledotme, a social networking fashion app, raised an undisclosed amount of funding from Indian Angel Network. Other players in this space include Voonik, Purplle, Roposo, etc.
