Hyderabad Based EdTech Startup Thinkcell Learning Acquires

Plans To Invest INR 30 Cr In Over 2 Years For Acquisitions And Expansion

Hyderabad-based Thinkcell Learning Solutions, (formerly Gateforum Educational Services Pvt. Ltd.), has acquired Enabilon Learning, which offers its test preparation packages through YES Bank was the financial advisor from Enabilon Learning Pvt. Ltd.

Earlier this month, Thinkcell had acquired the YUKTI brand to kickstart its 8-12 Science division, with the primary focus being the 12th Board exams and engineering & medical entrance exams like JEE, MHT-CET and AIPMT.

With the acquisition, Thinkcell will now be structured into 4 verticals, Gateforum for GATE preparation, Yukti for preparing students from 8-12 science division for JEE & medical entrance, Logiquest (Kaplan Certified Education Partner) for education abroad focusing on GRE, GMAT, SAT, TOEFL & USMLE, and Testfunda.­com for online MBA & Bank test preparation market.

Enabilon learning Pvt. Ltd. owned provides online aptitude test preparation, with a focus on MBA and bank test preparation market. TestFunda has a strong technology focus – online, android app & analytics backed by over 6 lakh registered users and 250+ institutional partners.

Since the last couple of years, TestFunda has been making inroads with its comprehensive courseware for IBPS & SBI PO & clerical for prelims and mains and other related government exams where 1 crore+ test-takers take exams each year for secured government jobs.

In August 2014, private equity firm ASK Pravi Capital had acquired majority stake in Thinkcell. The startup has a presence in more than 65 cities and has trained more than 1,50,000 students since inception. Soon, it is launching its Education Abroad division, Logiquest for GMAT, GRE, SAT & TOEFL coaching, in partnership with KAPLAN. It plans to invest over INR 30 Cr. in over 2 years for acquisitions and business expansion.
