Live music streaming app, Streo has secured an undisclosed amount in Seed funding from GEMs Advisory and Early Stage VC fund Quarizon.
The startup will use the raised funds for expansion across Tier I cities in India.
The startup was founded by Arush Dhawan, Prerana Dhawan & Pranav Trehan in December 2015. It aims to offer a one-stop technology solution in the live-music event space. The startup bridges the gap between the music enthusiasts and artists by providing live tune-in access to their favourite nightclubs though its app-based platform.
Commenting on the investment, Arush Dhawan, founder, Streo said, “We are receiving a lot of interest from nightclubs and independent artists from multiple locations and have partnered with the more popular nightclubs in Delhi, Mumbai, Bangalore, Goa, & Pune since March 2016. The investment from Quarizon will help us in rapidly expanding our partnerships with nightclubs and artists, thereby providing users a diverse experience. Also, while live music streaming is our key value proposition, we will be introducing other solutions going forward keeping in mind our vision, by constantly enhancing the user experience.”
The app is available on both iOS and Android.
Other players in the segment include Muslate, Happydemic, Pindrop etc.
