Bangalore-based mobile marketplace for beauty services Stayglad has raised an undisclosed amount in angel round of funding led by a group of investors. The round saw participation of investors including Tracxn Labs, Sahil Barua of Delhivery and a few others.
Stayglad is a platform that enables customers to get beauty, styling and ‘get ready’ services at their doorstep, thereby avoiding challenges like traffic, weather conditions or finding parking space. Stayglad can help customers find verified, trained, experienced and certified beauty service professionals who will use best products and standardized procedures.
The startup further aims to start with 20 minute appointments where one can get ready for an occasion by booking an appointment with a beautician and ordering a particular style and make-up look they like. Customers will be able to select a particular look and the professional will drape the sari or do up a hair style and apply makeup as per skin tone and occasion in just 30 mins.
Stayglad is founded by IIT kharagpur alumni Prateek Jain, Shashank Gupta and Kavish Desai just a month ago. Founders comes with considerable experience with working with companies like Adobe, Amazon, Urban Touch, Heinz India and Flipkart.
Stayglad currently has its services only in Bangalore and has plans to expand to other cities. Going forward, it also plans to launch a mobile app.
Abhishek Goyal of Tracxn Labs, says “Beauty as a category has a fairly sizable wallet share among households and is only going to increase overtime. In our view, consumers will want to access more and more services in the comfort of their home. Stayglad team has good mix of technology, operations and understanding of customer needs.”
