Gurgaon-based online managed marketplace, ShopClues has forayed into the hyperlocal space with the launch of ‘Neighbourhood Market’.
With this, ShopClues will now connect local sellers with buyers near them across mobile and web platforms.
Shopclues’ Neighbourhood Market was piloted with around 20-25 merchants only in Delhi. Going forward, the company plans to roll it out across in other Tier I and Tier II cities by the end of the month.

With this initiative Shopclues’ aims at customers who are more comfortable shopping from a nearby seller. Through Neighbourhood Market the customers will be able to browse through merchant’s products available in their vicinity. Besides, the discovery engine will offer deals, faster delivery and merchandise of local vendors
Hyperlocal has soon become the new commerce that companies are cashing upon. Be it hyperlocal logistics delivery (Pickingo, lazyLad), hyperlocal food and grocery delivery (Ola, Zopnow) or hyperlocal marketplace (Jugnoo, Zopper). Recently, another ecommerce marketplace player, Flipkart, announced its foray in the hyperlocal grocery business with f Qck.
ShopClues is run and owned by Silicon-valley-based, Clues Network Inc., has started its operations in 2011. The company claims to have:
