Ola has launched Ola Store, a standalone mobile app for hyperlocal delivery. With Hyperlocal  becoming the new ‘it’ word, many biggies have ventured into this segment, viz; Paytm’s Zip, Amazon’s ‘Kirana Now’ and Snapdeal partnered Godrej Nature’s Basket.

App offers 12,000+ products under 13 product categories including Fruits & Vegetables, Breakfast, Dairy, Bread & Eggs, Grocery & Staples, Sweets & Snacks,  Beverages & Drinks, Bottled & Packaged food, Gourmet, Frozen Food, Household,  Health Supplements & Medicines, Baby Care and  Pet Care.

It is presently operational only in Bangalore with free delivery for all orders above INR 250. However, an order below INR 250 will include an extra charge of INR 30.  Deliveries are done from 9 AM to 10 PM everyday. Users can choose their convenient time slot for delivery but in case of ‘Deliver now’, order is delivered under 90 minutes of placing the order.

Also, users have the liberty to pay via Ola Money, Net banking, Cash On Delivery (COD), or credit/ debit card on delivery.

App is currently available on Google Play and  iOS version will be launched soon.

Other established players in this segment are – Zopnow, Bigbasket, Grofers, Localbanya and PepperTap.
