US-based footwear and apparel maker Nike has launched its online site Nike.com in India. The move is aimed at facilitating a wider range of products to its Indian customers.
The website in India will offer its complete range of products, including services like exclusive products, color choices, and Nike iD.
Nike has been recently expanding its platform in countries as a part of its global expansion programme.
Customers will now be able to access an assortment of products offered by Nike across categories such as Running, Football, Young Athletes, Tennis, Women’s Training, Nike Sportswear, Basketball, Jordan and Men’s Training.
Under the newly launched NIKEiD service, consumers will be able to design and customise their own Nike merchandise for a unique and personal product. They can also expect regular updates including expanded color options and added product lines exclusive to Nike.com.
Users can also shop on Nike.com for products they discovered on Nike+ apps and even look out for live experiences available through Nike.com.
Earlier last month, Noida-based sporting app Sportido that enables participation in sports and fitness activities, raised an undisclosed amount of angel funding from Sumpoorna Group. Prior to that, in August 2016, cricketing icon Sachin Tendulkar launched his premium men’s wear brand, True Blue, on Myntra. In September 2016, Amazon India launched a private fashion label, Symbol.
