NASSCOM Launches Startup Warehouse In Hyderabad In Partnership With T-Hub

Continuing its endeavour to promote entrepreneurial ecosystem in the country, NASSCOM 10,000 Startup Program in partnership with the Government of Telangana, inaugurated the T-Hub NASSCOM Startup Warehouse in Hyderabad today.

The event was addressed by Shri. Kalvakuntla Taraka Rama Rao, Cabinet Minister for IT & Panchayat Raj, Telangana State, along with M. BVR Mohan Reddy, Chairman, NASSCOM and Mr. R. Chandrasekhar, President NASSCOM, Srinivas Kollipara, Founder, T-Hub, Jay Krishnan, CEO, T-Hub.

A startup warehouse is an incubator and co-working space for technology startups and early stage product companies at a reasonable cost. The warehouse allows them to work for 6-12 months. During this time, these startups can give demos and pitch to investors, large corporate’s, other accelerators/incubators and individual mentors. NASSCOM’s 10K Startups Program is supported by Google, Microsoft, IBM, AWS and Kotak.

Chandrashekhar, President, NASSCOM said, “Hyderabad startup ecosystem has grown extensively in the last one year. We wanted to back this culture and support these young minds to foster and create tomorrow’s global brands. ”

The 10,000 Startups program by industry lobbying body NASSCOM has initiated startup warehouses across different states to enable startups and entrepreneurs to work together and share their experiences. The first startup warehouse was set up in Bangalore in 2013, followed by other cities including Kolkata, Navi Mumbai, Pune, Kochi and Gurgaon.

T-Hub is a public/private partnership between the government of Telangana, three of India’s premier academic institutes (IIIT-H, ISB & NALSAR) and key private sector leaders. It is an incubation center that aims to be a catalyst in building and strengthening Hyderabad and Telangana startup ecosystem. The Telangana government has announced $100 Mn venture capital fund.
