NASSCOM, IBM Launches Techstartup.in For Mumbai Startup Ecosystem

National Association of Software and Services Companies (NASSCOM) launched Techstartup.in, a digital platform for the Indian startup & product ecosystem to network, stimulate local innovation and help grow the economy, in partnership with IBM.

The platform is an online hub for Mumbai on IBM Cloud.

Techstartup.in was first launched in Bangalore last year, followed by Delhi. It is a digital platform that allows startups, investors and venture capitalists to network in a particular city. The platform serves as a centralised hub for India’s tech ecosystem, providing information and resources to help turn ideas into businesses, deliver valuable tools for tech startups, and connect citizen entrepreneurs to opportunities in the tech ecosystem. The programme looks at diversifying the tech startup ecosystem within the city where market leaders in the technology space will not only support startups but will also connect with them through the platform.

The overwhelming response and success of the Delhi and Bangalore platforms inspired us to bring the same for the aspiring entrepreneurs in Mumbai. The platform will also offer a pioneer search engine and database that will virtually profile every city-based tech company and investor, an updated list of tech and startup jobs, citywide tech event and class calendar; an interactive map of tech companies, startup resources across the boroughs; and additional features that combine to create a comprehensive one-stop shop for startups.

Built on IBM Cloud, TechStartup.in will be updated regularly using tools from Bluemix – IBM’s cloud platform that includes tools for social, mobile, analytics, cloud integration, Internet of Things, Watson cognitive computing and more.

Besides, IBM will offer local qualified startups up to $120K of IBM Cloud credits via the IBM Global Entrepreneur program so that they can build and scale their businesses on IBM Cloud.
