Bangalore-based home design & decor startup LivSpace has acquired YoFloor, a mobile platform that offers a virtual trial for home design decisions.

As part of the acquisition, the founders and the core team of YoFloor will join Livspace.

This is Livspace’s third acquisition in this  year. Previously, it had acquired two design professionals community & marketplace startups DezignUp and Dwll.in.

With this acquisition, Livspace aims at providing high quality productivity and 3D visualization tools to in-house designers and users. It can give homeowners an immersive design experience in real-time, eliminating the need for a lengthy exchange of design iterations and feedback.

Started by Ankur Mishra and Archit Rathi in March this year, YoFloor was incubated at Mango Technologies. The app helps homeowners envision how different home designs, furniture pieces, and furnishings would look in their home.

Launched in December 2014, by Anuj Srivastava, Ramakant Sharma and Shagufta Anurag, Livspace is an end-to-end home design and decor service provider and curated marketplace for homeowners and designers that lets customers discover thousands of interior designs by color, material and style.

The startup had raised $8 Mn last month in an internal round of funding led by its existing investors Helion Ventures, Jungle Ventures & Bessemer Venture Partners in order to focus on its expansion plans and build innovative mobile and designer oriented products. Prior to this, it had also raised over $4.5 Mn last year from the same set of investors.
