Founded in 2014 by Yash Shah, Anupama Panchal and Abhishek Doshi, Gridle, brings together all the channels of communication like task management, file-sharing, instant messaging, audio/video conferencing and team management under one platform.
Yash Shah, co-founder and CEO at Gridle, says, “The issue is that fast moving teams use a combination of different apps to share files, chat, video call, manage tasks, etc., additionally, they also spend a significant amount of time on emails, calendars and reminders. Gridle solves that.” In simple terms, Gridle abolishes the need to use multiple tools.
Currently, the startup caters to companies with upto 500 employees and claims to improve team productivity between 11% – 13%.
The funding will predominantly be utilised to broaden sales pipeline and scale up operations. Besides, it will also use the funds for team expansion.
Gridle faces indirect competition from tools like Trello, Asana, Basecamp, Todoist, etc.
The differentiating factors between Gridle and its competitors is that Gridle is not selling features of task management or team management, but the convenience. It offers content and context on just one platform and the ability to make faster decisions at work, based on actionable insights.
