Indian ecommerce giant Flipkart, has launched a higher version of its mobile app for sellers by the name ‘Seller Hub 2.0’, which claims to have improved features and functionalities.
Prior to this, the early version of Seller Hub provided real-time data to the sellers such as listings, orders, returns, payments and order fulfillment.
Seller Hub 2.0 is aimed to simplify the way sellers run their business online with next-gen technology and benefits in stored in the app.
Seller Hub 2.0 offers a complete end-to-end online selling experience. It has upgraded features like adding listings in seconds, view items already selling on Flipkart and allow sellers to get visibility on orders, returns, payments & fulfillment, update stocks or prices and do order fulfillment with a few taps.
According to Sunil Gopinath, Product Head (Seller Ecosystem) of Flipkart, “We have spent substantial time with our sellers across the country & categories, getting deep understanding and insights into how they actually go about running their business. With better user experience & intuitive design in the upgraded app, we have ensured that sellers can now conduct and monitor every step of their business, on the go. This will provide a unique and seamless selling experience to the sellers via mobile, anytime and anywhere.”
Sunil added that Seller Hub 2.0 got better response among sellers since its launch last week. The mobile app has witnessed significant seller engagement from genres of businesses from second generation business owners to young entrepreneurs to boutique owners.
Flipkart feels that its engagement with the seller base is in line with its ambition to develop an ultimate ecosystem for sellers to grow and expand their businesses.
In recent years, Flipkart has tied up with several government bodies such as FISME, DGET, NIFT, Ministry of Labour and DC Handlooms opening up the ecommerce marketplace model to the sellers of Indian micro industries.
