Fashion Discovery App Findow has received an undisclosed amount of funding from Raj Singh Bhandal, Director, Next Media Works.

Founded in 2015 by Zarine Ahmad Bajaj and Himanshu Kumar, Findow was officially launched in July 2016 as a fashion discovery app. It is a location-based shopping mobile application and website that acts as a digital resource for shoppers, enabling users to find nearby stores, products, and exclusive offers

Talking about the investment, Raj Singh Bhandal, Director, Next Media Works said, “I have chosen to invest in Findow, as it is building a unique shopping experience for consumers. Targetting a relatively untapped market gap, Findow is connecting consumers to offline fashion brands around them by leveraging the exciting personalisation capabilities of the mobile device.”

The newly-raised funding will be used to grow the brand in metros and key Tier II cities. It will also be used to elevate marketing and branding exercises and to reach a wider audience.

Findow helps shoppers to discover fashion by introducing them to brands, boutiques, retailers, designers, and stylists. It also acts as a virtual boutique and allows shoppers to purchase products on specific brands through the app. The brands on the platform include Gucci, Dior, Hermes, Ritu Kumar, Manish Arora, Anju Modi, and Rahul Mishra, etc.

Findow piloted its application through Android, iOS and their website and since then, claims to have received over 2,000 downloads from shoppers across Mumbai and Delhi.

Users can browse and search for products near their current location, allowing them to easily see or share what shoes, bags, clothes and accessories are in nearby stores. Users can also browse categories such as “popular or “Bridal” and like, share, or comment on their favourite pictures.

Moreover, with embedded details like brand, price and store, users can virtually window-shop and determine places as per their preference. The app also adds value to retailers, as the location-based features drive foot traffic to physical stores. By clicking on the embedded map, users can find out exactly where any store is located.

In June 2016, Gurgaon-based online fashion community Shopwati raised an undisclosed amount of Seed funding from Sanjiv Rai of SRKK Advisors. Other startups in the fashion retail segment include Wooplr, Voonik, Purplle, Roposo, etc.
