Bangalore-based coupon startup, CouponRani, has launched a chat-feature-Shopping Assistant-on its mobile app to offer convenience and ease to its customers.
The CouponRani Shopping Assistant finds the best deals for the services customers are looking for, and also gives an opportunity to cross-sell and upsell other offers to customers.
Founded in 2012, CouponRani, is a platform that offers deals and coupon codes from other ecommerce sites. The platform hosts more than 2000 stores and over 4500+ coupons, and claims to receive over 1 Mn visitors each month.
It offers coupons on a wide range of categories including apparels, footwear, lifestyle, home decor, baby products and many more. The company also claimed that its portal has more than 150 exclusive coupons.
According to a survey by CouponRani, over 51% of consumers were not happy with app-only model, as they struggled with price comparison and finding coupons in such a model.
Many platforms are adopting these Chat-based communication services. A couple of days back, Gurgaon-based online managed marketplace, ShopClues, introduced a new chat feature on its Android app called ShopClues Connect. It connects buyers directly with sellers for added information on product, price and availability. The app also enables buyers to engage directly with sellers in their vicinity to negotiate delivery timelines, ask for details on warranty, returns etc.
