Bosch India has launched its first accelerator programme for startups. The 18-week programme is called ‘discover, nurture and align- DNA.’
The programme will offer startups access to Bosch’s working environment and the participating startups will also be able to pitch to Bosch’s management, as well as other external investors.
Manohar Esarapu, head of Bosch India’s Start-Up Alliance program said, “As a technology and solutions leader, Bosch India is looking to partner and collaborate with startups that work on disruptive solutions in the areas of mobility solutions, smart manufacturing, smart cities, meditech, agritech, and energy. He further added that Bosch is also looking to work with startups working to enable technology areas like IoT, deep learning, analytics, cloud, virtual reality and blockchain.”
In India, Bosch is a leading supplier of technology and services in the areas of mobility solutions, industrial technology, consumer goods, and energy and building technology. It is also planning to partner with these startups to cater to new markets, apart from providing disruptive business models.
Bosch’s DNA programme would provide support with scaling, industrialisation of products, market reach, and design thinking elements that will enable startups to grow faster. By offering technology mentorship and support, startups receive the best-in-class engineering knowhow.
Earlier in August 2016, Hyderabad-based 50K Ventures launched a go-to-market accelerator. The accelerator was launched by Raju Reddy, angel investor and founder of Sierra Atlantic, based in Silicon Valley.
