Anupam Mittal, Rahul Singh, Kunal Shah, Vivek Bhargava To Fund Your Big Idea
Vivek Bhargava, Anupam Mittal, Kunal Shah, Ameera Shah, Sudip Bandopadhyay, Mohit Goel and Rahul Singh have announced to come together as investors at The Vault, an Indian reality TV series. They will also be part of the jury panel and evaluate contestants.
Vivek, Mohit, Ameera, Sudip and Rahul are amongst the main investors on The Vault, while Anupam and Kunal will be associated with the show as a guest investor.
Mohit Goel, CEO, Omaxe Limited, said, “The entrepreneurial landscape in India has been witnessing rapid growth over the past few years. The Vault, with its unique integration of entrepreneurship and infotainment, will give the segment a major boost by inspiring more people to don the entrepreneurial hat. I am extremely glad to be involved as an investor on the show, and look forward to interesting investment pitches from entrepreneurs across the country.”
The Vault will curate and present 50 innovative, disruptive and even outlandish business ideas to emerge from India’s roots. The investors will draw upon their own entrepreneurial experiences to evaluate each pitch on aspects such as innovation, novelty, growth prospects and viability of the idea before deciding on whether they want to invest in it or not.
The final decision remains in the hands of the investors.
Ameera Shah, Managing Director & CEO, Metropolis Healthcare Limited, said, “Having been bitten by the entrepreneurial bug very early in life, I have been familiar with various facets that running your own business entails. I am really glad to be a part of an initiative such as The Vault which is looking to make entrepreneurship a household concept in India. I look forward to providing guidance and mentorship to promising business ideas looking to make a disruptive impact.”
Open to multiple sectors such as SMEs, the student community, household and rural ventures, and startups at an incubation stage, The Vault will offer a platform for entrepreneurs to pitch their business ideas in front of a panel of investors and secure on-the-spot funding.
Sudip Bandopadhyay, Chairman, Inditrade Capital, said, “Having built and managed business verticals for leading companies such as Reliance, ITC, ICI and HLL, my focus is now on taking up the role of an active investor and fund the business dreams of the next wave of entrepreneurs. I think The Vault is doing a stellar job of taking entrepreneurship to the masses and providing aspiring entrepreneurs across the country with a platform to showcase their innovative ideas, and gain visibility and funding.”
Anupam Mittal, Founder & CEO, People Group, added, “The Vault, apart from its obvious infotainment value, is also a social responsibility aimed at nurturing entrepreneurship across the country by educating viewers about how businesses are often created from scratch with nothing but a vision to change things. I am delighted to be associated with such an empowering initiative, and am confident that the platform will help foster the entrepreneurial spirit in India to give the startup ecosystem a big boost.”
The Vault is scheduled to launch on television in October 2016. The show endorses the idea of social responsibility towards the entrepreneurs throughout the country, by giving them a TV platform which acts an infotainment/educational experience; for the viewers to understand how investment deals are cracked and what does it take to become a successful entrepreneur across multiple verticals.
