Inc42 Daily Brief
Stay Ahead With Daily News & Analysis on India’s Tech & Startup Economy
Last week, TiE Mumbai in collaboration with Peachtree Management Advisors hosted a webinar on ‘Surviving & Thriving in a Post-Covid Economy’ which exclusively focused on startups, family businesses, entrepreneurs and investors. The panel included finadvisor LLP’s founders and partners Aloke Ghosh and Francis Vidhayathil, Peachtree Management advisors’ founder and Artha Venture’s partner Vinod Keni and Peachtree Management’s Mani Padmanabhan.
TiE Delhi too hosted a webinar last week, highlighting funding opportunities in times of Covid-19 to walk early and growth startups through this capital crunch. The webinar invited several eminent names from the Indian startup ecosystem.
As we step into a new week, here’s a list of upcoming events:
Inc42 AMA With Wingify’s Paras Chopra
‘First Principle Thinking’ For Entrepreneurs
Paras Chopra cofounded Wingify in 2009, along with Sparsh Gupta. Wingify is a SaaS-based company whose flagship is a website testing platform product, VWO. With this, the company aimed to enable businesses to design and deploy enhanced customer experiences for their websites and apps. Wingify is one of the few Indian companies to have reached about $23 Mn ARR mark while being bootstrapped.
The session will focus on adapting the concepts of ‘First Principle Thinking’ to entrepreneurship. The First Principle Thinking is a contradiction to the conventional approach of making decisions based on past experiences, other people’s examples or analogies. Such a process could help product managers and business leaders in uncovering unconventional insights about their customers or find new solutions to market problems.
Previously, Inc42 has hosted venture capitalists (VCs) like Siddharth Pai, founding partner at 3one4 Capital and GV Ravishankar, managing director at Sequoia India and other imminent names like POSist’s Ashish Tulsian, Dunzo’s Kabeer Biswas and Zoho’s Sridhar Vembu in its ‘Ask Me Anything’ series to discuss the new opportunities and resets in the Indian startup ecosystem.
