Startup Events In January: Global Student Entrepreneur Awards

We bring you the latest edition of upcoming startup events this month and registration details for events, summits and webinars that are worth attending.

Global Student Entrepreneur Awards (GSEA)

Organised by the Entrepreneurs’ Organization (EO), and proudly running in its 22nd year globally, The Global Student Entrepreneur Awards (GSEA) is an endeavour to help dynamic young student entrepreneurs realise their entrepreneurial dreams. EO Gurgaon is organising the regional round of the GSEA for the second consecutive year.

The competition will see students pitching their businesses in various online formats, making it a unique and inclusive experience for everyone. Along the way, qualifying participants will also get the chance to participate in workshops and interact and learn from dedicated mentors on various aspects of their business and learn how to strengthen their pitch in accordance with international business standards.

In the qualifying rounds, EO Gurgaon participation from student entrepreneurs across the country, including top tier colleges and universities like IIT Delhi, IIM Ahmedabad, IIM Bangalore, NIT, among others. The contenders represent a spectrum of student startups in agritech, fintech and edtech among other sectors.

Participating entrepreneurs also vie for exciting cash prizes of approximately INR 30 Lakh for the winner and INR 7.5 Lakh and INR 3.5 Lakh for the first and second runners-up respectively. Additionally, The Chairman’s Awards, of an additional INR 1 Lakh each will be given for the topics ‘Innovation’, ‘Social Impact (Global and Community)’, ‘People’s Choice’, ‘Lessons From The Edge’ and ‘Pivot’.
