Here is Inc42’s latest edition of startup events coming up this week. But before we dive into what’s in store for this week, let’s catch up on the successful events of the past week.
At the three-day Rajasthan Digifest Edition V, held in Bikaner from July 25-27, the Honourable Chief Minister of Rajasthan Vasundhara Raje launched Inc42’s second Digital Rajasthan Yatra II book amid much fanfare. The three-day fest was aimed at providing a platform to students, IT professionals, and aspiring entrepreneurs to meet, network, and showcase their ideas.
The Digifest saw an overwhelming response with the participation of a whopping 25,000 people and approximately 50 startups on Day 1.
The Digifest also hosted a Job Fair, which recorded a participation of more than 31,000 people, of which 1,500 secured their dream jobs on the spot. The International Balloon Challenge, a tribute to India’s former President the late Dr APJ Abdul Kalam, also took off on Day 1 with six payloads being launched into near space from among the 10 winners of the competition.
The first day was wrapped up with a marathon named TecRush, which was open to all and saw more than 10,000 enthusiastic people run together. Green-a-thon and Startup Fest were some of the other attractions of the Digifest.
Day 2 saw an enthusiastic crowd cheering the participants of Hackathon 5.0. The 36-hour hackathon, which sought to provide a platform to anyone who can offer ingenious solutions to bring about change in the state saw 3,000 participants.

Inc42 Founders Meetup
The third edition of the Inc42 Founders Meetup is being organised this week. The meetup will bring together founders from diverse industries to share their unique growth stories, get perspectives on other startup stories, and meet hustlers from the startup world.
The agenda remains to share knowledge, discuss challenges, and enable networking among startup founders.

International Blockchain Congress
The International Blockchain Congress will be the largest congregation of innovators, businesses, technologists, regulators, startups and enthusiasts to pave the way for an open and transparent blockchain-powered world.
The Congress proposes to address issues related to blockchain and its allied services and is the first conference of its kind where a network of global Blockchain leaders will be participating and interacting to discuss, understand, and frame policies on the technology.

Defence India Startup Challenge
All the innovative new-age startups have been invited to the launch ceremony of Defence India Startup Challenge, an initiative by Defence Innovation Organisation (DIO) under the aegis of Department of Defence Production, Ministry of Defence, Government of India in association with Atal Innovation Mission, NITI Aayog
The initiative is aimed at supporting innovators to create prototypes and/or commercialize products/solutions based on advanced technologies in the area of national security through an equity-linked grant-based mechanism.
The vision of the Defence India Startup Challenge is to help create functional prototypes of products/technologies relevant for national security (prototyping) and in turn, help build an ecosystem of fast-moving innovation in the India Defence Sector. At the same time, it will also help new deep-tech products find markets and early customers (commercialization) in the context of the Indian Defence Sector.
The challenge will be launched by Union Defence Minister Nirmala Sitharaman along with Dr. Subhash Bhamre, state defence minister.

Entrepreneurship Summit 2018
As a part of the Entrepreneurship Summit 2018, the Symbiosis Institute of Business Management is conducting Entrepreneur Development Module, an event to promote cross-domain learning through networking and hands-on activities. The event will host budding student entrepreneurs and enable them to interact and engage with different start-ups at The Daftar, one of the biggest coworking spaces in Pune.
The Entrepreneurship Summit will see various events — Ice Breaker Session, Idea Generation, and Networking Meet — to enable the attendees to engage and interact with each other.
