India and the UK, two countries with a connected and long history, are going full speed ahead with the implementation of the India-UK Technology partnership. As part of the efforts to increase cross-border synergies, the UK-India FutureTech Festival was hosted last week.
Further, startup accelerator Global Super Angels Forum (GSF) also hosted its event GSF Techtales and Cocktails, where investors and founders across the country gathered to discuss fintech opportunities.

DIPP To Release State Startup Ranking 2018 Report
The Department of Industrial Policy & Promotion (DIPP) is organising its State Startup Ranking event this week with an aim to encourage states and Union territories to develop their startup ecosystems.
At the event, the department will be releasing the much-awaited state ranking report, which will help measure and compare the efforts and results of the startup initiatives exercises that have been undertaken by different state governments.
The event will also see participation from top officials from different state governments and departments responsible for growing and managing the startup ecosystems in their respective states. The states will also be felicitated for their efforts and initiatives.

Taiwan Connect: Delhi Edition
The Indian Centre for Social, Economic and Environmental Research unit, Confederation of Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (CIMSME) is organising the Taiwan Connect- Business Opportunities Meetup.
The event is being organised in partnership with the Taiwan Consulate and the Uttar Pradesh government-supported incubation centre, L-Incubator Indian Institute of Management, Lucknow (IIML).
MSMEs focusing on areas such as the manufacturing sector (including automotive ancillaries), textiles, information technology, educational institutions, etc, will get an opportunity to discuss possible opportunities for import and export of technology and services, including the signing of MoUs as appropriate and/or joint ventures with Taiwan-based companies.
