Last week, IndUS Entrepreneurs (TiE) Global — a Silicon Valley nonprofit which supports startups — hosted the third edition of TiE Global Summit 2018 in Delhi, in association with TiE Delhi-NCR. Members of 61 TiE chapters came together for the event, which focussed on understanding how entrepreneurship can help in job creation.
Meanwhile, in India’s startup capital, Bengaluru, the Karnataka government organised its flagship event — ‘Bengaluru Tech Summit’ — from November 29 to December 1. “Our vision for 2020 is Karnataka be the first choice of innovation and technology globally,” Karnataka IT/BT minister KJ George said at the event.
The state government also launched Innovate Karnataka, a new campaign to promote and boost innovation and impact in the state.

Global Investors Meet
The first edition of the Global Investors Meet will be organised in Goa this week. The government event will see participation from global investors, financiers, and venture capitalists with a focus on financing startups in the state.

AVCJ India Forum In Mumbai
The 19th edition of the annual forum by the Asian Venture Capital Journal (AVCJ) will be organised in Mumbai this week. The AVCJ, which was established in 1987, organises Asia-focused conferences and events for the private equity industry.
This year, the two-day event is expected to see participation from more than 300 senior professionals including representatives from PE and VC funds, investors, and corporates.

SLUSH 2018
Student-run non-profit organisation Slush is all set to host Slush 2018 with an aim to build a startup community across the world. The organisation seeks to provide a platform to facilitate founders and investors to meet and network. Entrepreneurs from across the globe will come together to share their journeys and help each other grow.
