SaaS startup Wingify which completed seven years of operations this year has launched a publication called Wingify on Growth. The platform is intended for growth stage companies and post product-market fit startups wherein founder Paras Chopra and his leadership team will write about their experiences, mistakes, challenges and opinions on growth in business.
As per Paras, the intent behind Wingify on Growth is to help likeminded growth companies and entrepreneurs to benefit from Wingify’s growth story, to learn from its mistakes and to share the startup’s experiments as it scales further.
Paras told Inc42, “We started it because we felt there’s lack of knowledge on challenges of mid-market and growth stage companies. There’s a lot of knowledge on startups (books and publications like yours) and then there’s Harvard Business Review that covers enterprise challenges. But surprisingly nobody writes about midsize, growth stage business challenges. We started Wingify on Growth because it’s the sort of publication that I would have loved to read as a founder into 7th year of company.”
In his first post on the platform, Startup complacency: the flip side of startup success that nobody talks about, Paras has written about the feeling of complacency that set in after the first few years of hardwork and success at Wingify, what did Wingify do to overcome it and set itself on the path to growth again.
Recently, the SaaS startup launched the new version of its Visual Website Optimiser (VWO), which ties together the entire conversion rate optimisation (CRO) process. The connected all-in-one VWO platform took two years to develop and aims to help businesses optimize digital experiences for their visitors by employing a process oriented approach for A/B testing – a digital marketer’s tool for optimising conversion.
Founded in 2010 by Paras Chopra, Wingify’s flagship product, VWO has helped more than 5,000+ brands across the globe to run over 600,000 experiments till date to analyse web activity and increase conversions. The VWO is such a hit with the foreign audience that 99% of its customer base is outside India. Boasting a $18 Mn ARR, the bootstrapped startup’s global customer base includes brands like Vodafone, Samsung, Toyota and eBay.
Besides VWO, it also launched PushCrew , a product that enables websites to send push notifications to their visitors, helping them build in-time and contextual connect with their users in December 2015.
Wingify on Growth is roughly based on the same principle of giving it back to the startup ecosystem as is another SaaS startup Zarget’s initiative #RespectStartups. Zarget had launched the #RespectStartups initiative in February this year to help startups that often struggle with funds to buy licensed software products. Under the initiative, companies can showcase offers for startups and, they in turn, can pick the ones that would make their journey easier through the RespectStartups platform. Both initiatives aim to make the journey of fellow startup founders easier by sharing knowledge, experience and resources.
