YourNest Venture Capital Strengthens Its Advisory Board 

YourNest Capital Advisors, has appointed Nupur Garg, on its advisory board for its second Fund. Nupur is listed among India’s top 100 Women in Finance (AIWMI 2019) and her addition will lend significant strength and capabilities for YourNest India VC Fund II, the second fund from YourNest.

A CA and an MBA from MIT’s Sloan School of Business, Nupur has global experience spanning private equity investing, operations and finance in leading global organisations like PwC, Discovery Networks and IFC – an arm of the World Bank Group.

She has operated in different South Asian economies where she was instrumental in structuring and implementing complex business transactions and partnerships. Her specific areas of expertise include private equity, strategy, investments and finance, governance and operations.

At SIDBI, Nupur co-chairs the sub-committee for its Fund of Funds vertical and serves as an external expert on the investment committee for the INR 10,000 crore Fund of Fund for startups. She is an active member of the Executive Committee and the Limited Partner Council at the Indian Private Equity & Venture Capital Association (IVCA).

MFIN Elects Its New Chairperson And Vice Chairperson  

Microfinance Institutions Network (MFIN), has selected Manoj Kumar Nambiar as Chairperson and Vineet Chattree as Vice Chairperson of the Association.

Manoj Nambiar, Managing Director of Arohan Financial Services and Vineet Chattree, Director, Svatantra Microfin, take over the reins from Udaya Kumar Hebbar, President MD & CEO, CreditAccess Grameen and Dibyajyoti Pattanaik, Director, Annapurna Finance.

Manoj Nambiar, is currently with the Aavishkaar Group as the Managing Director of Arohan Financial Services Limited. Nambiar also brings international experience of having worked in National Bank of Oman.

He is a mechanical engineer by graduation from VJTI and an MBA in Marketing by post-graduation from JBIMS both from Mumbai University and has tertiary qualifications in insurance from III. He has also completed a course on Strategic Leadership in Microfinance from the Harvard Business School, Boston, the US.n.

VineetChattree has over 20 years of experience in Operations and Consulting with large corporates spanning across India, Middle East, US and Europe. In the last 4 years, his strategic thinking and experience has enabled Svatantra Microfin map out a differentiated, diversified, profitable, and sustainable growth path.

He is a chemical engineering graduate from Institute of Chemical Technology, Mumbai and has completed his Master of Management from IIT – B and Executive Management Program at Wharton.

 OLX India Appoints Chief Marketing Officer 

OLX has announced the appointment of Sapna Arora as its Chief Marketing Officer (CMO). In her new role, Sapna will be responsible for leading the brand marketing initiatives of the company. Previously, she has served in various leadership roles at Procter & Gamble, Reckitt Benckiser, Nestle and Bennett Coleman among others.

Prior to joining OLX, Sapna was a Partner at Matrix Atlantic Capital, where she worked closely with entrepreneurs to unlock growth opportunities.

An alumnus of St. Stephens College, Delhi University, Sapna holds an MBA Degree from IIM Bangalore.
