Bengaluru-based staff communication platform Noticeboard has raised an undisclosed amount of funding from former Myntra CTO Shamik Sharma and TaxiForSure founder Aprameya Radhakrishna. With this investment, Sharma and Radhakrishna will join the company as advisors or mentors.

In July 2017, Noticeboard raised $1.2 Mn funding round led by Stellaris Venture Partners and other angel investors. BlackBuck founder Rajesh Yabaji and Jayant Kadambi, co-founder of digital advertising company YuMe also participated in the round.

The current round of funding is in continuation of the $1.2 Mn round raised in July. Shamik Sharma and Aprameya Radhakrishnan will help to strengthen the product and design team at Noticeboard.

“Shamik is one of the best tech and product leaders in the country today. His experience in building and scaling companies like StumbleUpon, RockYou, Lytro, and later ushering in a wave of mobile-first thinking in the Indian ecosystem makes him an ideal mentor for us,” said Sarath Chandran, co-founder of Noticeboard.

Founded in June 2016 by Vishal Gahlaut, Vishesh Dahinwal and Sarath Chandran, Noticeboard is a communications platform aimed at facilitating information flow between the employees of a company. The three co-founders were earlier working with Myntra. Vishal served as Vice President and Platform Head of Myntra’s fast-fashion initiative RAPID. Vishesh, on the other hand, worked as Head of Myntra Logistics, while Sarath acted as Senior Product Manager.

With a focus on frontline staff, it enables organisational communication through digital platforms for frontline staff like delivery boys in logistics, retail store-front employees, warehouse staff and drivers, etc. The platform looks to facilitate efficient transmission of information, pertaining to updates, feedback and other items of notice, within an enterprise.

Noticeboard’s clientele includes Myntra, Pepperfry, Grofers etc. A recent report stated the company is also running a pilot of its suite for last mile delivery companies in Singapore, Nigeria and the Philippines.

In March Bhavin Turakhia further invested about $25 Mn in the communication app Flock. Other companies in this segment include Slack, Microsoft Teams, Azendoo, Stream Workspace, etc.
