Following the acquisition, the One Good team, including CEO and cofounder Abhay Rangan, CFO and cofounder Radhika Datt, and COO Dhivakar Sathyamurthy will join Nourish You.
Founded by Rangan and Datt in 2016, One Good offers a range of vegan dairy products, including milk, cheeses, chocolates, curd, ghee and butter across cities like Hyderabad, Delhi NCR and Mumbai. It aims to enable access to high-quality plant-based nutrition for all.
The startup claims to have raised $1.8 Mn in total funding since inception and acquired three plant-based companies – Pro2fit, Angelo Vegan Cheese and Katharos Cheese.
Meanwhile, Nourish You was floated by Krishna Reddy, Rakesh Kilaru and Sowmya Reddy in 2015. In the offline space, Nourish You products are available across over 2,500 retail stores.
“The acquisition integrates Nourish You’s commitment to animal welfare with our existing values of nourishing consumers, farmers, and the planet. It also reinforces our commitment to make healthy, flavorful plant-based foods, affordable and accessible,” Krishna Reddy said.
Since inception, Nourish You has secured $2 Mn funding from Zerodha’s Nikhil Kamath, actor Samantha Ruth Prabhu, Darwinbox’s Rohit Chennamaneni, Triumph Group’s Y Janardhana Rao, Gruhas Proptech’s Abhijeet Pai, KIMS Hospitals’ Abhinay Bollineni, among others.
According to Inc42’s analysis, the F&B segment of D2C will grow at 25% CAGR by 2030.
