Post the rape incident,  the government has banned Uber in Delhi and now, the same order is being reviewed by other cities as well. Karnataka launched Mobileone App for govt services

Karnataka government, this week, launched India’s first mobile governance platform “Mobileone” in Bangalore. The extolled move was made by the President of India, ‘Pranab Mukherjee’. Karnataka is the first state to develop a mobile application approved by the Apple Store and is now available both on iOS and Android Platforms.

HuffPost Launches In India

“Indian edition of The Huffington Post” was launched this week in association with The Times of India Group.  The website will cover topics from politics, media and entertainment to technology, religion and lifestyle.

Online fan merchandise startup Bluegape which had recently shutdown its merchandise business has now launched a new platform which will allow users publish content and follow people, topics and trends. With this, users can track articles based on interests, what is trending and can also make their own set of feed.

RBI to introduce single step authentication

The Reserve Bank Of India has announced that it will soon be introducing single step authentication for low value transactions. There has been no decision on the upper limit of the low valued transactions, but it is expected to be announced within a month. The move comes after RBI’s recent decision of making two step authentication processes compulsory for all transactions.

Youtube goes offline in India

Google has finally introduced an offline feature of YouTube for Android and iOS users in India. People can now take videos offline and watch them later during short periods of low or no internet connectivity by just tapping on the offline icon that sits under the video frame.

One97 Partners with Glo Benin to launch Subscription Services & Story Portal

New Delhi based One97 Communications Ltd. has partnered with Nigeria-based multinational mobile telecommunications company, Glo Benin to launch voice/sms based subscription services and engaging story portals.
