This week global retailing giant Walmart revealed that the company will increasingly focus on double its investments in India while hiring top technology talent and growing its Bengaluru team, which is one main remote site outside the US for Walmart.

HealthAssure Ropes In Ankush Chatterjee As CMO And Head Of Products

HealthAssure has appointed Ankush Chatterjee as Chief Marketing Officer and Head of Products effective March 1, 2018.

With an experience of two decades, Chatterjee has global experience in marketing, product management and innovation. Prior to this, Chatterjee worked for Obi Worldphones where he was a part of the senior management and led global product marketing, including Digital Marketing and Social Media, besides driving strategic relationships across the value chain, building core organisational capabilities and envisioning new solutions (product and services).

He also holds various advisory council member roles and provides strategic insights focused on mobile devices, consumer electronics, and innovation for global brands.

In March 2018, HealthAssure raised $ 1 Mn in a Pre-Series A round of funding led by The HR Fund.

Walmart India Appoints Sameer Aggarwal As Executive Vice President, Strategy Head

Walmart India has appointed Sameer Aggarwal as company’s executive vice president and chief strategy and administrative officer, effective April 2, 2018.

With more than two decades of global experience in general management, strategy, finance and mergers and acquisitions, Sameer is a chartered accountant and a management graduate from the London Business School. Prior to this stint, Aggarwal worked as the chief finance, development and supply chain head for KFC in Thailand.

Earlier he had worked with supermarket chain Sainsbury’s in the UK and China as head of strategy and McKinsey & Company in the UK and Australia.

At Walmart India, Sameer will lead the finance, technology, legal, audit and strategy functions. He will report to Krish Iyer, president and chief executive of Walmart India.
