OYO Rooms, a technology driven chain of standardized budget hotels in Delhi, Gurgaon, Noida, Bangalore and Mumbai has now upped its game by a notch after launch of its mobile app ‘OYO Rooms’ The app released is as easy as counting to 3 because all it takes 3 taps to book a room. Not only this, the app also allows users to order room service directly from their smartphones.
On this advancement, Ritesh Agarwal, Founder and CEO of OYO Rooms said, “OYO Rooms was first to bring the comfort and experience of an expensive hotel at a much lower price, by using technology to pioneer a branded network model for budget hotels. Now we are using a smartphone app to completely redefine guest experience at an OYO, allowing our customers to not only book their preferred OYO room in less than 30 seconds flat, but order room service directly from the OYO Rooms app.”
Users don’t need to pay at the time of booking as there is an option of settling their bills directly at the hotel. The app also provides directions to the booked destination. Other features of the app include search smart, book fast, stay awesome along with notifications about special offers within the app. The smart search service lets user search from around 4000 rooms in more than 15 cities across India lets user search for a specific location along with available amenities to enhance user experience.
Stay awesome feature is an icing of the cake which transforms the app the into a digital butler once the user has checked in. Accentuating the mobility of the app, Abhinav Sinha, COO of OYO rooms said,” Whether you are traveling to a new city or away from your home watching an IPL match or attending a party, you can just book the nearest OYO Room in a few seconds using the app for a comfortable stay.”
There was a hiccup on launch of the app as it witnessed an aggressive marketing stunt by the rival Zo Rooms in the form of signboards and standees.
OYO Rooms is India’s largest network of technology- enabled budget hotels. It currently operates in 15 major business and travel destinations including Delhi, Mumbai, Bangalore, Hyderabad, Pune, Chennai, Goa, Jaipur, Gurgaon, Noida, Ghaziabad, Manesar, Neemarana, Kolkata, Varanasi and many more to come.
