SaaS startup Maxim AI has raised $3 Mn (around INR 25 Cr) in a seed funding round led by Elevation Capital.

The round also saw participation from a host of angel investors, including founders of Postman, Chargebee, Groww, Razorpay, Media.net among others.

With this fundraise, the company said that the platform will now be accessible to all the users, which was earlier available to only a select set of customers. This will be a controlled roll out with major focus on mid market enterprise customers, Vaibhavi Gangwar, founder and chief executive officer, Maxim AI told Inc42.

The San Francisco-headquartered company aims to deploy the fresh proceeds for talent acquisition and scaling up its operations for more partnerships with companies building AI products.

Founded in 2023 by Gangwar and Akshay Deo, who previously worked with Google and Postman respectively, Maxim AI is a SaaS platform enabling GenAI developers to test and ship their applications faster.

The “developer tool” platform claims to help the makers in end-to-end development cycle – from prompt engineering, pre-release and post-release testing for quality and functionality, to data management and fine-tuning.

This comes at a time when the country is witnessing rapid AI adoption by companies and investors being attracted towards AI startups.

For instance, GenAI-powered speech and text analytics startup GreyLabs AI has recently raised $1.5 Mn (around INR 12.5 Cr) to strengthen its tech stack, expand its geographical footprint and scale its team.

Yesterday, GenAI-powered product photography startup Ayna raised $1.5 Mn (about INR 12.5 Cr) to expand its AI capabilities and scale its team.

The AI sector has also seen some major milestones in India like getting its first AI unicorn, Ola Krutrim earlier this year.

As per Inc42’s report, native GenAI startups have raised more than $440 Mn since 2019 and 80+ Indian institutional investors have backed such startups.
