We bring to you the latest edition of movers and shakers of the week in the Indian startup ecosystem.

Milkbasket, a daily grocery delivery company, announced the appointment of ex-OLA executive, Nitin Gupta as Head of Engineering. An IIIT Hyderabad Computer Science graduate, Nitin has spent over 6 years with OLA, traversing the journey from a two-room startup to a multi-unicorn today. He started his career with a gaming startup and also worked with Flipkart in its early days.

DLAI Appoints IndiaLends CEO As Their New President

The Digital Lending Association of India (DLAI), an industry body representing over 85 technology-based NBFCs, has announced the appointment of Gaurav Chopra, CEO and Co-founder, IndiaLends as President of the association for 2019-20.

He was one of the nine founding members of the association and in the past two years, he was holding the position of a Treasurer for the association.

Chopra is a business strategist turned entrepreneur with more than 15 years of experience and domain expertise in driving business innovation in digital finance, credit analytics and mobile payments across Indian and global markets. Currently, as the CEO and Co-Founder at IndiaLends, Gaurav is responsible for building and executing a growth-driven business strategy and cementing strategic partnerships while delivering innovation for its customers – both borrowers and financial institutions.

An MBA from London School of Business, Gaurav spent eight years working at Capital One Bank in the UK leading teams in analytics, credit risk, marketing and business strategy.

LimeRoad Bolsters Senior Leadership Team

LimeRoad, an independent fashion platform announced its entry into offline stores and continues to execute its aggressive talent plans for 2019.  The firm has made two high profile appointments – Ragini Singh as Vice President for Community & Creative, and Adesh Kumar as Director Engineering effective August 2019.

Ragini Singh joins LimeRoad from Cosmopolitan, Better Homes & Gardens, Goodearth and Nicobar Design Studio. Ragini Singh will be driving LimeRoad’s content and community while rapidly accelerating in video and brings 20+ years of experience.

Adesh Kumar makes the move to LimeRoad from Snapdeal. Adesh has close to 15 years of experience and is passionate about driving excellence in customer experience via technology.

These new joinees come on the back of recent leadership hiring announcements of CFO, Pankaj Jain who joined LimeRoad after a 9-year stint as the CFO of the ibibo group, and Dr Shashank Teotia, who joined as Senior VP for People and Talent Development earlier this year.

Capgemini India Appoints Chief Human Resources

Capgemini announced the appointment of Pallavi Tyagi as Chief Human Resources Officer (CHRO) for its India operations, effective September 30, 2019. Pallavi joins Capgemini in India after managing multiple roles in DuPont where she was the Head of Talent Acquisition and Organizational Vibrancy for the Asia Pacific in her last role.

Tyagi is a Human Resources leader with over 20 years of experience across FMCG, IT and process and discrete manufacturing companies. She has worked in multiple geographies including the United States, Russia, Poland, Middle East, China, South East Asia and India, among others.

Eiliant Advisors Ramps Up Team

Bengaluru-based growth advisory firm Eiliant Advisors has ramped up its team. The company has made three new appointments as partners, Dean George, Jubin Mishra and Sachin Gupta.

George, an MBA from University of Canterbury Christchurch, has over two decades of experience and will lead Sales and Business Operations Advisory. Mishra, an alumnus of IIM Kozhikode with over 2o years of experience, will be responsible for Growth Strategy and Marketing Advisory. Gupta, a chartered accountant and alumni of IIM Bangalore , will be taking on transaction and CFO Advisory.

The new hires have worked across multiple roles at Titan, StoreKing, Accenture, HSBC,  Blue Dart, etc. Eiliant is focussed on mergers and acquisitions, growth capital augmentation, technology strategy, growth consulting and CFO advisory to enable growth, scale and competitiveness for mid-market companies and curated start-ups. Its advisory is focussed towards 4 verticals – Science and Technology, Manufacturing, Consumer and Financial Services including Fintech.
