Price comparison shopping platform, MySmartPrice, has concluded statistics report based on pan India customer research and shopping trends for the period 1 October 2014 – 22 October 2014 during this Diwali season.

As per the report, Indian men shopped more than women, with Mobile phones and electronics among most searched products on MySmartPrice platform.

  • Samsung, remained the top brand online this festive season, ahead of Apple, home brand Micromax and Nokia with over 22 lakh shoppers searching for Samsung phones.
  • Micromax Canvas A1 became the most sold phone online followed by Micromax Canvas Doodle 3 and Micromax Canvas Juice bagging the second and third spots respectively.
  • Interestingly, even as a huge metro populace shopped online with over 53 lakh shoppers, the non-metro diaspora was also not far behind with over 38 lakh shoppers this Diwali
  • Apart from Mobiles, the top 5 electronic categories searched include computer, TV, Tablets, Camera and Accessories.
